It has been just over 2 years since the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed the first case of COVID-19. Seventy-eight million coronavirus cases and almost a million deaths later, so say COVID-19 changed our lives… is an understatement. We wanted to take the time and reflect a little bit on what we did over these past two years to help our employees to lessen the stress that was already happening in everyone’s everyday life because of COVID-19.
So let’s take a look a just a few things we did for our employees because they DESERVE to be taken care of because they are ESSENETIAL and work hard every day to provide the best and high quality care to our families!
- Paid for our employees health insurance when we were closed
- Offered work share hours to ease back into full time work, while allowing federal benefits to still be earned
- We choose to keep paying the federal unemployment for our employees who were working full time
- Took the time to apply for grants to support our centers needs and increase employees wages
- Gave bonuses whenever we could to retain our employees so that we could continue to grow enrollment and be dependable for families in need of quality care
- We implemented above and beyond health and safety procedures so our employees felt safe at work
We are so very thankful for all of our employees; teachers, cooks, maintenance , admin team… each and every employee that makes The Learning Tree successful. We continue to work hard finding every possible way to give our employees outstanding benefits to live their best life inside and outside of our centers.
