Preschool | Potty Trained 3 to 4 Years | Serving Livonia, MI

Our Preschool classroom is designed for children who are potty trained and 3 to 4 years old.

Preschool has a structured daily routine with more focus on emergent writing and phonics.

Our typical daily routine includes:

Quality Education Empowers Them To Soar

Highscope Preschool Curriculum is implemented in all our Preschool Classrooms. Our teachers complete a full week orientation training, monthly continuous Highscope trainings and receive on the spot support and feedback from a Curriculum Director once a week.

A Well-Structured Day Helps With Home Life Too

Classes are well structured, and children are involved in keeping the classroom organized and tidy. This helps preschoolers understand the value of contribution – something that can extend to their behavior at home.

Teachers Show Them How To Solve Problems

Teachers encourage conflict resolution and problem-solving skills any time a challenge arises. This process includes encouraging the child to identify the problem, discussing their feelings, and finding a solution to solve that problem.

Lots Of One-On-One Personalized Attention

Teachers balance each class with small group time and entire-class participation. This allows us to cater each activity and provide one-on-one attention to your child.

They Learn How To Write - Yes By Hand!

Preschoolers stimulate their fine motor development as they begin learning the process of writing through various activities.

Math Lessons Help Them Conquer Numbers

Math is an essential aspect in many parts of each preschooler’s day. You can find math in our art area, toy area, and book section of the classroom! Counting, sorting, classifying, and identifying are all math skills that are experienced and progressed during preschool.

The Letter Links Program Strengthens Reading

Your child’s teachers implement the Letter Links program at all ages in order to encourage reading and writing. Letter Links is a Highscope Program that encourages reading beginning with the most important word to each child: their name!

All-Organic Meals Keep Children Fueled

All of our children are served an all-organic, and healthy menu. Their two meals and three snacks are home-cooked daily. We engage in family style meals meaning that children are encouraged to completely serve themselves. This includes tasks such as choosing their dish, spooning their own food, and pouring their own milk. During this time, all developmental areas are stimulated as the preschoolers learn, communicate, and engage with those around them while they are enjoying their nutritious meal.

Daily Digital Reports Keep Parents In The Know

Procare is a reliable resource that we use for consistent communication with our families. This app allows teachers to enter in information such as what the child has eaten, how long they napped, and even pictures of them participating in the different parts of the day.

We ask parents to bring a water bottle, extra clothes on the first day. Nap Items are needed too – a fitted sheet and a blanket or stuffed animal your child is comfortable with!

We have you covered on food – actually we have a no-external food policy. We have full time chefs onsite to prepare and serve snacks and meals throughout the day. If you have any specific issues please let us know, we’ll work with you.

Safety is our top priority! We created and implement an allergy procedure that includes a special placemat used for a food allergy. While the child’s picture and allergy information is posted, the child will also use a placemat at all snacks and meal times that alert their allergy. The placemat is a great tool for children to learn about allergies and be aware of allergies. We have received amazing feedback form our state licensing consultants on how well this is implemented in our classrooms!

Our daughter has attended LT North since she was 12 weeks old. She's currently in the toddler program, and we could not be happier with the care she receives. We love Miss Brandi and Miss Noreen so much, and so does our daughter. She's kind, patient, and encourages her to be curious and independent. Brandi, Noreen, and all of the toddler teachers are incredible (and so were the infant teachers!) and we are very grateful for the care they provide.

Our family has been with LTN for nearly 4 years. Both of our kids have had such positive experiences and are well taken care of while we are at work. We absolutely love Noreen. She is patient, loving and so kind. Her calm demeanor is so reassuring to us and our 2 year old. Our daughter has really come out of her shell since beginning in her classroom and we credit Noreen and the great Toddler teachers for that.

All three of my kids have been through the Learning Tree Program. it's like their home away from home for them. Great teachers and very impress with the consistency of their teachings. Food they serve is very healthy for the kids and I think my kids were one step ahead by the time they entered school. I recommend this program and the South location to anyone who is interested in great daycare for their children.
