LT Teachers are the BEST!

This past week, we kicked off a fun weekly highlight on our Facebook pages. Each week we will be recognizing one teacher from each of our centers – our teachers go above and beyond and deserve to be recognized for all of their hard work.

From our Learning Tree – North location, we recognized our Preschool teacher, Ms. Kate! Ms. Kate is a Zoophonics queen – she always finds away to add in Zoophoics to multiple parts of her day instead of just one activity. Zoophonics is a huge part of our curriculum and if you are unfamiliar with what Zoophonics is… it is a fun and playful program to teach kids reading, spelling and writing! Every letter is associated with an animal where the kids will learn the sounds, spelling and practice writing. Thank you Ms. Kate for bringing Zoophonics to your classroom everyday!

From our Learning Tree – South location, we recognized our Preschool teacher, Ms. Desiree. Ms. Desiree also goes above and beyond working with Zoophonics. Everyday, Ms. Desiree has an awesome new project planned for her preschoolers. From tracing with makers to tracing with wood block, Ms. Desiree always has the best creativity to encourage her preschoolers to learn their Zoophonics friends.

From our Learning Tree – West location, we recognized Ms. Connie & Ms. Emily our Pre-K teacher team! Ms. Connie & Ms. Emily are always going above and beyond to make sure our Pre-K children are Kindergarten ready!  This week, Ms. Connie & Ms. Emily were focusing on counting and math and they represented our go green core value and used recycled materials for their small group. Children were given a variety of items like corks, plastic bottle tops, sponges, paper rolls, etc. and encouraged to count and explore them. We love a great math activity!

From our Learning Tree – South Lyon location, we recognized Ms. Abby our Pre-K teacher. Ms. Abby does an AMAZING job everyday getting down to our children’s level to help solve any conflicts that may occur. At The Learning Tree, conflict resolution is a huge part of our curriculum – we find it so important to get down on the children’s level to help solve any conflicts that may occur. From our Learning Tree – Howell location, we recognized Ms. Jessica our Infant 2 teacher. Ms. Jessica also always gets creative when it comes to incorporating Zoophonics into her classes daily routine. This week our infants got to explore their Zoophonics by tracing letters with markers!
We are so thankful to have such amazing teachers and we can’t wait to show off all of their hard work with you. Be sure to follow us on Facebook to see all the FUN we have at The Learning Tree.
