PRESCHOOL 2s and 3s

Our Toddler Program is for children 2 ½ years old to potty trained. As Toddlers turn 2 ½ they enter our Preschool 2s and 3s classroom.  Here is where they focus on Preschool readiness and have more structure in there day.

Help With Potty Training Milestones

While potty training is encouraged and possibly started in the toddler program, it is heavily focused on in Transitional Preschool.

An App Provides Adorable Photos And Updates

Procare is a reliable resource that we use for consistent communication with our families. This app allows teachers to enter in information such as what the child has eaten, how long they napped, and even pictures of them participating in the different parts of the day.

Solid Routines Assist In Children's Development

Children follow a consistent, yet flexible routine throughout their day. This allows them the comfort and awareness of what will be taking place in the classroom, yet also accommodates to their interests and needs.

A Communication-Friendly Environment For Children

Teachers are mindful of how significant social development is at this age. We represent this importance through our face-to-face communication, open-ended questions, and social interaction we steadily encourage.

Healthy And Organic Meals Provided Daily

All of our children are served an all-organic, and healthy menu. They are given two meals and three snacks that are nutritious and home-cooked. Our toddlers engage in family style meals where they choose their own bowl/spoon, serve themselves, and are encouraged to interact with those around them.

More Structure Prepares Them For The Classroom

Our Highscope Curriculum is implemented in our toddler and transitional preschool classrooms.  Our teachers complete a full week orientation training, monthly continuous Highscope trainings and receive on the spot support and feedback from a Curriculum Director once a weekAs toddlers enter transitional preschool, they are exposed to more structure in their daily schedule.  Active learning is always a pillar of our approach.

Water bottle, fitted crib sheet, blanket, diapers, extra clothes and more extra clothes if potty training!

We have you covered on food, please respect our no outside food policy!  We have full time chefs onsite to prepare and serve snacks and meals throughout the day.

This is a great opportunity for our teachers to focus on encouraging new foods.  We promise it works with some teacher and peer encouragement!

Our teachers all meet the standards of Michigan’s Great Start to Quality educational requirements. Lead Teachers have either a Bachelor’s, Associate’s or a CDA.  Assistant Teachers have courses or training completed in early childhood education.

While safety and security is a top priority, you can list individuals you give permission to pick up.  We will check their ID, give them a guest pass and walk them to the classroom.

On top of a 5 full day orientation, we host trainings one evening a month that always focuses on curriculum or safety topics.  Several months throughout the year, we also host lunch trainings that teachers attend on their lunch time. We also provide weekly, on the spot training, from our Curriculum Directors!

Yes! Anytime.  We have an open door policy. Please visit, call or email as often as you’d like!

Safety is our top priority! We created and implement an allergy procedure that includes a special placemat used for a food allergy. While the child’s picture and allergy information is posted, the child will also use a placemat at all snacks and meal times that alert their allergy. The placemat is a great tool for children to learn about allergies and be aware of allergies. We have received amazing feedback form our state licensing consultants on how well this is implemented in our classrooms!

Our daughter has attended LT North since she was 12 weeks old. She's currently in the toddler program, and we could not be happier with the care she receives. We love Miss Brandi and Miss Noreen so much, and so does our daughter. She's kind, patient, and encourages her to be curious and independent. Brandi, Noreen, and all of the toddler teachers are incredible (and so were the infant teachers!) and we are very grateful for the care they provide.

Our family has been with LTN for nearly 4 years. Both of our kids have had such positive experiences and are well taken care of while we are at work. We absolutely love Noreen. She is patient, loving and so kind. Her calm demeanor is so reassuring to us and our 2 year old. Our daughter has really come out of her shell since beginning in her classroom and we credit Noreen and the great Toddler teachers for that.

All three of my kids have been through the Learning Tree Program. it's like their home away from home for them. Great teachers and very impress with the consistency of their teachings. Food they serve is very healthy for the kids and I think my kids were one step ahead by the time they entered school. I recommend this program and the South location to anyone who is interested in great daycare for their children.
