One of our favorite weeks of the year is almost here…EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS!
We will be celebrating Earth Day the entire week of April 17th – April 21st! Our teachers are working hard to plan a full weeks lesson plan all about Earth Day. Stay tuned for details on special family celebrations we will be having throughout the week with our LT families!
The week of Earth Day is one of our favorite weeks as it really highlights all of our Core Values and what we do every day to live and teach children about a green lifestyle. We are very passionate about being a green center, so let’s take a look at some of the things we do at The Learning Tree to be an eco-friendly childcare center:
- Little to no plastics inside our classrooms
- Cloth napkins
- Real dishes
- Full gardens at all 5 locations
- Green cleaning products
- ZONO sanitizing systems
- Young Living Essential Oils

….our lists of eco-friendly features and benefits goes on and on!
We will also be kicking off our gardens the week of Earth Day and we cannot wait to share with you the journey of planting the seeds with our classrooms. We love having the children be apart of our gardens because positive interactions with nature and the environment teach children about their place in the world, and how they can protect it throughout their lifetimes.
